A Twin Screw Motor Yacht originally built in Germany for the US Navy. She has been restored over the last 10 years or so in keeping with her history. She has a raking stem, a round bilge hull, a transom stern, twin screws and rudders. The hull is constructed of Steel which was riveted. The hull has been maintained and there is some welded parts. The surveyor report states that she is as strong now as when she was when commissioned for the US Navy. There is an aluminium superstructure on top. She was designed for both River and Sea-going capability. Keel - the bar keel was originally a vertical plate riveted to the garboard plates - this has been incorporated into the new welded arrangement that the surveyor was happy with.
Rudders - hollow plate rudders that were replaced.
Superstructure is mainly of aluminium alloy which is riveted to the steel deck. There is a central wheelhouse and an aft-cockpit.
In keeping with the original vessel there are no guard rails fitted. Grab rails are fitted over the length of the superstructure together with substantial toe rails. Guard rails should be fitted for personal passage making.

Broker's Comments

These boat details are subject to contract.
This Twin Screw ex Us Navy Military Patrol vessel has been the subject of complete refurbishment during the current ownership. She is an amazing fully functional time piece that still can go to sea.. During her career she patrolled on the Rhine and interestingly the wheel house can be dismantled so she could be transported by rail. This vessel requires a discerning owner who is a real enthusiast and appreciates her rich history. The current owners have also lived on board this vessel in order to achieve the current level of refurbishment. They now wish the vessel to find a new suitable owner who will appreciate her as much as they have.
Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
