Fit and finish on this vessel appear to be well done. The dark blue against a red waterline stripe is impressive looking, while keeping the traditional Ranger blue/tan color scheme. It has been reported that the hull has never bumped anything, so it is in like-new condition. The semi-displacement / semi-planing hull is remarkably fuel efficient at cruising speeds.
The boat includes a macerator discharge (factory option.)
A custom full-cockpit canopy/enclosure with easy bungee type fastening appears to be in excellent condition with clear windows and bright colored blue canvas.
Sports Rack (factory option.)
An "EZ Loader" trailer is included. (Due to low usage, the wheel bearings may need to be re-packed/replaced.)

Accommodation

Total # of berths 6
No. of double berths 3
Cabin(s) 2
Handbasin 1
Shower 1
Heads 1 heads (Manual)

Entering the boat through the heavy Diamond Seaglaze door, immediately to port is a chest-height canvas entry that stretches across a storage area/single berth forward under the settee. The wooden top serves as a table. Just forward of that, the settee to port is two bench seats facing each other with a table between. This converts to a double berth and storage is underneath the seats.
Across from the settee on the starboard side is the helm and galley. The helm seat folds forward to open up about half of the galley counter space while not underway. The galley has a sink, refrigerator, and Wallas stove. The diesel-fired Wallas stove doubles as a safe cabin heater when the cover is in the "down" position.
Aft of the galley and directly to starboard of the entryway is the door to the head. The head has a standing shower, basin, vanity mirror, and toilet in the same space. The arrangement of this space is very functional with mounted metal fixtures. An overhead hatch and port light allow for light and ventilation.

All of this is on the same level as the cockpit (on the other side of the entryway.)

Fully forward, and down two steps is a master V-Berth cabin. The large berth itself fills the space with cabin lights mounted on each side of the aft walls. Storage is available under the berth and a small locker is on the port side aft wall, next to the mounted light. Access to the helm station wiring is through an access panel on the starboard wall from within this cabin. A large overhead hatch in the V-Berth cabin can be opened and has a screen and light cover. A privacy curtain can close off this space from the upper level.

I am impressed with the number of windows and hatches (6 hatches in total.) Windows surround the space, allowing for excellent viewing. Tasteful curtains are used for privacy. The screened hatches provide a copious amount of light from overhead and can all be opened for ventilation.

Broker's Comments

The feature set and comfort amenities on this Ranger Tugs R-25SC put it on par with much larger boats. It has been well cared for, showing little wear at all. It seems more like a new boat to me than a used one. This is a lightly used one-owner tug with a number of extra factory add-ons such as a larger chart plotter and upgraded 110HP Yanmar engine. Additionally, a custom canvas bimini/full-enclosure was built for the cockpit and appears to be in excellent condition. The amount of space and storage on this size vessel is impressive.

These Ranger Tugs R-25s have demonstrated their versatility with many journeys to Alaska and circuits of the Great Loop logged. With the included triple-axle trailer, the next owner can be free from winter moorage fees and expensive hauling charges for maintenance. She looks clean and ready to go!
