Review written on behalf of Lloyd Thompson for the recent purchase of the Arvor 215. From the outset after reviewing the footage posted by Tim Kingston on the Boatshed website, the boat was found to be absolutely as depicted in the footage. Then liaised with Tim Kingston whom was extremely informative and very professional. This made the purchase of my first boat seamless and straight forward. Excellent service all around, well done.

Samantha had successfully sold our previous yacht during a much more difficult market, in 2016, so she was a natural choice to sell our flybridge motor boat. We also knew that a local broker is a major advantage. We had a partnership with Samantha, we cleaned and presented the boat to the highest standard and she took care of the advertising and selling. The boat was sold only a few days after listing. She had a very busy weekend conducting viewings and handling multiple offers. The boat was sold to a buyer who could not view, so he based his purchase on the excellent photos and videos that Samantha provided and a detailed specification, supported by our engine service and boat history. She even filmed the engines being started from cold. She then organised getting the boat ready for transport, by road, to Scotland.

I received very good service from the brokerage team.Mine was not the easiest boat to sell as although very well built, in good order and lacking nothing it was a little known class. The extensive advertising exposure uncovered a few interested parties and a buyer was found. I was impressed by Sam's wide experience and knowledge of the boat market. I was consistently updated in developments and given wise advice.

Sam was key to the successful sale of my high spec, lightly-used yacht. An international buyer offered a fair price but could not view due to COVID. Sam set up a video viewing for me to ‘show’ the yacht to the buyers. They liked what they saw well enough to complete the sale without actually seeing the yacht. Selling internationally is complex, but Sam knows how to cement a comfortable and safe deal for both sides. She is committed, tenacious, good fun to work with, and highly recommended. Well done Sam!

Sam Cassell sold my boat for the full asking price in less than 24 hours. It costs more but the support and service is worth it. Sam kept me up to date throughout, sorted viewings and happily gives frank, straightforward advice and selling and buying. When negotiations got tricky due to unforeseen issues on survey, having a broker helps, and I think gives the buyer more confidence to find a way forward, which we did. Sad to see the boat go, but looking forward to the next one!
