Starting from the aft end the wheelhouse saloon opens directly onto the terrace deck with the door and first wooden panel opening up to turn this into an open plan convivial indoor/outdoor space. The wheelhouse is bright and offers excellent visibility for the pilot and guests alike. There is a tasteful blend of ancient and modern with the PC Navigo, portable computer and AIS B sitting comfortably alongside carved wood panels and steamship engine room engine controls. A huge radiator warms this space in winter and our vendors have enjoyed over ten years of fulltime residential boating aboard. Forward from the wheelhouse saloon and down a few steps to the galley saloon first passing by the WC to port and shower room to starboard. The galley to port has work surface space, an electric oven and a four burner gas hob, plenty of storage and under counter 24v fridge with ice box and a top loading washing machine. To starboard a lovely Godin wood burning stove for extra cosy warmth. A small dining table for two is next to starboard and an office corner finishes off this bright yet cosy living space. At the fore end the cabin with a double bed 2m x 1.4m and headroom of 1.6m rising to 1.8 max under the stained-glass windowed pigeon box. A trapdoor allows crawl access to the forepeak workshop cum storeroom and this space can also be accessed from the foredeck. Heating from 5 radiators and a heated towel rail in the shower all heated by a Kabola HR400. The Godin adds a touch of style and cosy warmth when you don’t want to light up the entire central heating system. Hot water is from a tank heated by the engine and 220v resistance plus an instant gas water heater. The whole boat is protected by an intruder alarm connected to a security company alert system. Water is treated by a filtration and UV system.

Broker's Comments
Live aboard luxemotor for sale in France. Boatshed Bourgogne is please to offer this residential Dutch barge for sale.
A Luxmotor from 1926 and looking very pretty indeed. This barge has been our vendors' full time home for over ten years and they certainly seem to have looked after her well in that time. They also have a knack for blending traditional with contemporary making a cosy home with modern equipment that retains all the old-world charm of an original Luxe Motor live aboard barge.
Bright and airy yet cosy and warm, the boat is as spotlessly clean in the engine room as in the galley and will make a great cruising home for anyone who appreciates traditional boating but doesn’t care for hairshirt comfort that can be associated with it.
