About Paul Lancashire

I began my career by qualifying in electrical engineering, I later transitioned into property development and management for several years before ultimately returning to my true passion-boats. My most recent project was a complete refurbishment of a 20-meter classic Italian motor yacht, involving everything from timber and metalwork to full mechanical and electrical installations.

Now, with over 30 years of experience in the boating world, I've owned and worked on a wide range of vessels-river cruisers, classic wooden sailing yachts, motorboats, and even a sunken narrowboat I personally raised. My primary focus has always been on restoration and refurbishment projects, which I believe has provided me with a deep and well-rounded knowledge of the industry.

Throughout all these years, one thing has remained constant: my obsession with boats and a strong desire to work in the marine industry full-time.

Before working with Boatshed
Eventually, I chose to merge my background in electrical engineering with my lifelong passion for boats by launching a business in marine electrical and electronics. today, I am a Victron Authorised Installer and specialise in Victron off-grid solar energy systems, offering tailored power solutions for marine environments.

What attracted you to become part of Boatshed?
I've followed Boatshed for many years and have always been impressed by the company's strong online presence, particularly its commitment to honesty, transparency, and the depth of information provided for every boat listed.

I am pleased to have finally had the opportunity to join the Boatshed team and contribute to a company whose values and approach I've long admired.
